The Watchmaker of Filigree Street by Natasha Pulley was introduced to me by a friend, and I fell completely head over heels in love with the steampunk world, the characters and especially a little mechanical octopus with a randomised mechanism called Katsu. Katsu is a marvellous character in his own right, causing problems in Keita Mori's watch shop on Filigree Street and with a propensity to collect socks high in a cupboard where Mori cannot get them. When Thaniel moves in, he starts losing clothes as well. "Sock Thief" is an ode to this chaotic little mechanical octopus happily stealing socks from his family.

This vibrant and colourful art print features Katsu the mechanical Octopus in the middle of stealing Thaniel Steepleton's socks and a Watchmaker-cover coloured tie from an open set of drawers, using Thaniel's Japanese Primer and a stack of books for balance.

This is a digital book inspired art print, printed on 230gms Archival Matt card, a square just smaller than A5. This listing is for an unframed print of the illustration .
